Position: Optical Dispenser/Contact Lens Tech

EYE-Q Vision Care is seeking applicants for the position of Optical Dispenser/Contact Lens Technician to join our Optical Team! Are you interested in the optical services and looking to develop the initial skills for a long-term career in an Optical setting? This individual will be responsible for placing orders, dispensing, performing repairs, explaining vision insurance coverage, and informing patients of the best frames and lenses available with their prescriptions.

Qualified candidates would be expected to:

• Assist patients with the appropriate selections of frames.

• Perform adjustments and repairs on frames and lenses.

• Order frames and lenses.

• Train patients with contact lens and scleral lenses.

• Create and manage patient records via Electronic Health Records System.

• Trouble shoot prescriptions.

• Assist as needed in the contact lens area and optical front desk.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to be detail oriented.

• Ability to possess knowledge of optometric care and current trends in eyewear.
